House-Concert Recording Sessions
House-concert recording rates start at $300 for a solo artist and generally cap at $500 for a 4-5 member band. Larger ensembles may require an additional fee. For a quote, please contact us to discuss the details of your project. Please note that rates given here for house-concert sessions do not include post production. (editing/mixing/mastering – see below for rates) If you want another production house to handle post, we will deliver the multi-track audio files in uncompressed 24-bit format, at no additional charge.
Post Production
Editing, mixing, and/or mastering can be paid at the hourly rate listed above, but we generally prefer to negotiate a flat-rate fee per song, or for a project as a whole. Because no two songs are the same, rates can vary widely. Variables include number of tracks, amount of editing required, and other factors. $100-$200 per song is a general, “ballpark” estimate. If you record your songs at Maine Music Mill, a discount is usually applied to post-production. To establish a fee based on the unique aspects of your project and budget, please contact us.
Terms:
A deposit is required to book studio and house-concert recording session dates. But we understand that life happens. If something unexpected comes up and you need to cancel or reschedule your session, here are our policies:
- If you need to cancel your session completely, your deposit will be refunded as quickly as possible.
- If you simply need to reschedule, we will hold the initial deposit you’ve already made, but may require an additional deposit to book the new date.
- We reserve the right to withhold refunds entirely for multiple cancellations.
For post production, payment may be required before mixes or mastered tracks are delivered.
